Healthy Eyes Burnout Is Real. Here’s How to Avoid It

We all know that our eyes are important. In order to maintain good eye health, we need to take care of them by wearing sunglasses when outside and looking for warning signs such as redness, itchiness, or sensitivity to light.

Of all the senses we have, I believe that our eyes are one of the most important features we have. They allow us to see and make up a lot of what we know about the world. But, like any other organ in our body, they need some TLC (True Love and Care) in order to stay healthy and functioning properly. Here’s how I take care of my eyes:

1. Consider wearing sunglasses outside for protection from UV rays

2. Eat a balanced diet that includes lots of leafy greens and vegetables

3. Get enough sleep to avoid eye strain

4. Avoid using your phone or other devices in the dark before bedtime, which can cause eyestrain. Blue filter also does not do the trick. If i can’t sleep, I read a book or write my thoughts.

5. Make sure your computer monitor is positioned at the right height so you don’t have to crane your neck while working all day long

6. Cut back on caffeine intake to avoid dehydration, which can lead to dry eyes

7. Regular eye exams with an optometrist or ophthalmologist every year is recommended for adults over 40 years old; children should be seen by their pediatrician at least once before age 3 and again before 5 years old

Good eye health can sustain and improve your vision so it’s important to know the causes of eyestrain and take steps to prevent it. The most common cause is using devices in low light before bedtime which can lead to dry eyes, irritation around the eyes, burning sensation when reading or computer use, blurred vision, or headaches after prolonged periods of time on a device.

It may be tempting to enjoy all that technology has to offer but remember that our bodies evolved over millions of years with natural sunlight as its primary source for vitamin D production!

Stay healthy and keep your eyes healthy!
